“Bringing high quality and affordable medicines since 1984”.
MUP started as a small business in 1984 by launching 5 products.
Then the 1st conventional plant was established in Abu-Sultan (Ismailia), since then, MUP has grown significantly in Egypt, Middle East and Africa.
Over the last 3 decades, MUP has introduced 2 more factories; Penicillin & Cephalosporin in addition to acquiring Eli-Lilly’s insulin factory “Only multinational insulin factory in middle east”.

I’d like to introduce myself to you as the new Chairman and
Managing Director of MUP.
I am very enthusiastic to be leading such an important professional organization.
My main objective is to ensure the growth of MUP to build on
the success of the last 3 decades & maintain sustainable future for MUP.
Our projected revenue for 2022 is L.E. 2.6 bn.
We took bold steps to position MUP in the rank it deserves;
We began to execute the four key milestones “Insulin cartridge, L.V.P, S.V.P. &
Ophthalmology”
We will continue to seek opportunities to drive our business forward with our diversified range of products & prioritize the pipeline according to the market potentiality & demands.
We focus on supporting the professional development of people performing business to provid better business outcomes for MUP and our Shareholders.
We have multinational allies and strategic partners who support our standards and best practices, sharing ideas and knowledge to enrich all of our stakeholders.
