MUP is writing history.

We are proud to announce that MUP is the first Egyptian-Arabic-African pharmaceutical company to supply Cuba with medicines

After 14 months of dedication and passion, MUP succeeded in signing an agreement to supply insulin to the MoH of Cuba

GAZA will remain in our hearts (5 Working Days for Humanity)

 

In cooperation with UNRWA, Egyptian Red Crescent (ERC), UN and Egyptian Authorities.

MUP, for a purely humanitarian motive and from the perspective of its CSR, prepared 48.6 tons of pharmaceutical supplies for GAZA based on UNRWA request.

Arrangements started on Friday October 27, 2023. Once MUP received the request, MUP Chairman & CEO Prof. Dr. Ahmed Lila directed to allocate enough human resource and facilitate all logistics required to load the required items within not more than 48 hours.

All MUP’s leaders (Export, Logistics, wear-houses, Finance, HR, design and services department) had accepted the challenge and they categorized this mission as top priority. Mission has been completed before the requested time.

Dr. Mostafa Hammad – International Business Director & Dr. Khaled Omar – LEVANT Export Manager initiated the communication with UNRWA & ERC to get all security approvals required and they accompanied the trucks in along.

Trucks loaded and left MUP site on October 30th. Arrived Arish City on October 31st and handled, audited and labeled by ERC Logo on the same day, Moved to Rafah border point on very early November 1st. Supplies delivered to UN secured area in Gaza on November 2, 2023.

Exhibiting in CPHI 2023 – Highlights and Activities Summary

 

For the 3rd year consecutive, MUP participated in CPHI.

In Barcelona, from October 24 to 26, 2023 – CPHI was held and MUP had a significant presence through a very well-structured, equipped booth
Designed and Established by Expo Consultant Company.

MUP was represented by

•Dr. Mohamed Sarhan – R&D General Manager.
•Dr. Aml Abdelsadek – QA General Manager.

MUP’s team shows exceptional performance and very dynamic activities. The team executed more than 65 meetings in different business aspects.

On the other side, MUP team was honored to welcome H.E. Dr. Olfat Ghorab – Chairman of ACDIMA who appreciates not only the prior organized agenda and team spirit showed, but also the very attractive booth and its design.

By the end of the exhibition, Dr. Ahmed Lila appreciated all team members for the great effort and good image built for MUP.

New Approaches – New Partnerships in Iraqi Market

As a part of MUP’s corporate strategy to maximize its global presence, MUP participated in The 3rd Health Expo Iraq Exhibition (Baghdad 14-16 September 2023).

The objectives of participation:

1- Meet our partners and discuss the 2023 running forecast & 2024 plan. (RA activities, Marketing Plan, Sales forecast, portfolio optimization and Training plan).

2- Knock the door of Iraqi health authorities by a new business approach for technology Transfer and localization of human insulin and insulin analogues.

3- Find the proper way to provide our pharmaceutical solutions for Iraqi patients through KIMADIA.

MUP’s booth was one of the most attractive and we had the honor to welcome :
1- H.E. Minister of Health in Iraq.
2- Commercial Attachee in the Egyptian Embassy – Baghdad.
3-Deputy Minister of Health in Iraq.
4- Director of Direct Procurement Committee in KIMADIA.

MUP will continue ( started in 2006) helping Iraqi patients and supporting the healthcare system by 77 unique pharmaceutical solutions through MUP’s strategic partners (Al Mokhtar Scientific Bureau & Gasgous Group).

Egyptian Minister of Health Visits The New Insulin Production Line at MUP Tech. Factory”

Egyptian Minister of Heath and Population Khaled Abdel-Ghaffar announced on Tuesday that Egypt’s Medical Union Pharmaceutical Company (MUP) is launching a new high capacity production line for insulin
The minister said that Egypt will  begin exporting insulin to African countries as soon as it attains  self-sufficiency.
The minister’s remarks came during a meeting with Chairman of the Arab Company for Drug Industries and Medical Appliances, Olfat Ghorab & Chairman of Medical Union Pharmaceutical Company Dr. Ahmed Lila
The meeting was held on the sidelines of an inspection tour of MUP Tech During the meeting, the minister asserted the need for localizing the pharmaceutical industries in Egypt in order to attain self-sufficiency, and then export abroad, according to Ministry of Health Spokesman Hossam Abdel-Ghaffar.
The pharmaceutical industry is one of the pillars of Egyptian national security, Abdel-Ghaffar added.
He pointed out that the recently opened large pharmaceutical factories have placed Egypt among the major countries in the field of pharmaceutical industries.
According to the WHO, the number of diabetics worldwide is 422 million, and is expected to reach 500 million by 2030.
Seventeen percent of Egyptian adults aged 20 to 79 have diabetes, which means that Egypt ranks 9th among countries with the highest cases of diabetes.
Egypt is expected to rise to the 8th rank on the same scale by 2030
