Hi-Cal

Hi-Cal is a nutritional supplement syrup used to compensate for calcium deficiency in the body. It’s active ingredient is calcium glubionate.

It’s used for treatment of osteoporosis, rickets, muscle spasms and Insufficient activity of the parathyroid gland. It’s also recommended for pregnant women and during lactation to get the sufficient amount of calcium their bodies need.

Equivalent to 78 mg elemental calcium.
Syrup:

• Prophylaxis:
As a dietary supplement when calcium intake is inadequate
especially in periods of ↑ demand for calcium such as during:
Childhood, Adolescence, Pregnancy, Lactation, Old age
• Treatment of calcium deficiency states:
This may occur in diseases such as:
- Osteoporosis of various aetiology e.g. postmenopausal,
senile & corticosteroid-induced.
- Rickets & osteomalacia.
- Latent tetany & related neuromuscular disorders resulting
from hypocalcaemia.
- Hypo-Parathyroidism.
• Supportive treatment:
In allergic conditions.
