Sorbit

Sorbit consists of sorbitol powder. Sorbitol is a type of carbohydrate in the category of sugar alcohols called polyols. It’s a water-soluble compound found naturally in some fruits. This type of sugar contains fewer calories than table sugar and is laxative for constipation, as it helps with bowel movement, softening the stool, and relieving constipation. In addition, it’s a local sugar substitute, especially for diabetics. That’s because it reduces the high blood glucose rate.
